Moise Nzovu
Moise Nzovu is a Board member and a respected community and faith leader whose work is guided by compassion, service, and a deep commitment to supporting those most in need. Originally in Australia, arriving at Wollongong, he relocated to the Albury–Wodonga region to continue his humanitarian-focused community engagement and has since become a valued contributor to the region’s multicultural life.
With a strong background in humanitarian support and disability support, Moise volunteers extensively—particularly with newly arrived humanitarian entrants—helping individuals and families navigate settlement processes, access essential services, and feel welcomed in their new community. His hands-on support has helped many newcomers build confidence and establish meaningful connections across the region.
Moise has previously served as a leader of a Federal community association, a role that reflects the high level of trust placed in him by other community members. His leadership has helped strengthen community cohesion and elevate the voices of those he represents.
Passionate about nurturing a culture of service, Moise actively encourages volunteering within multicultural communities, believing that shared responsibility builds stronger, more resilient neighbourhoods. His values are grounded in the Ubuntu philosophy—“I am because we are”—which shapes his commitment to unity, dignity, and collective wellbeing.
Through his advocacy and ongoing service, Moise continues to champion support for vulnerable community members and foster a community where everyone can feel included, valued, and empowered.
