Jackie Hislop
Jackie is the Deputy Chair and a Board Member at AWECC, where she is dedicated to empowering the community, especially women, supporting families, and strengthening culturally diverse communities. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to inclusion, compassion, and amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard.
A proud mum of two and a longterm Wodonga local of more than 17 years, she has strong roots in the community. For her, Wodonga is not just a place to live—it is home. The relationships, shared stories, and collective resilience of the community continue to inspire her work.
With a professional background as a Registered Nurse, Trainer & Assessor, and Behaviour Support Practitioner, she brings a holistic, people-centred approach to every space she contributes to. She is passionate about helping individuals and families thrive and advocates for meaningful supports that create lasting change.
Jackie is honoured to serve in a leadership role at AWECC and to work alongside an inspiring team committed to creating positive, sustainable outcomes for the region.
